What We Do

Farm Bureau is the voice of Ventura County agriculture in local planning and policy discussions.

Farm Bureau of Ventura County publishes or distributes a number of periodical publications specifically geared toward agriculture. These include the organization’s bi-monthly newsletter, the quarterly Central Coast Farm & Ranch magazine, the weekly Ag Alert newspaper published by California Farm Bureau Federation, and California Bountiful—a bimonthly magazine also published by CFBF.

In addition, Farm Bureau recently published a large-format book about local farming, titled: "Living Legacy: The Story of Ventura County Agriculture." It features beautiful color photographs of the local farm landscape as well as detailed and accurate information about the history and modern business of agriculture.

Farm Bureau also supports and disseminates the work of community partners addressing issues of concern to Ventura County’s agricultural employers and employees through research, education and advocacy.
